Idea #4| AI Replacement Calculator: How long do I have?

What If: AI Replacement Calculator!

The satirical version of this idea would show you how much time you have left before AI takes over your job.

The concept is based on the famous countdown app that most people use to anticipate significant milestones like getting married, a big trip or finishing college.

But how can this be realistically implemented?

AI is here; it has been here for quite some time, and it’s not going away anytime soon ( or ever, to be realistic )

The first few days after Open AI released “ChatGPT”, most Google searches were looking similar to this;

When will “ChatGPT” replace me? How much time do I have left before AI takes over my job? Are we getting replaced by robots?

People had a lot of questions, and not a lot of people had answers to any of these questions.

The real question here is,

What if there was a platform that could estimate ( or try to ) the time it would take AI to fully replace you?

But with a little twist! It would help you get ready for that moment!

⚙️ The process would look like this:

1) The platform will be built based on the most up-to-date information on the capabilities of AI

2) People would enter their job titles or industries

3) Then People would be able to see how much time approximately ( in years ) they have until there is a major shift in how their industry operates. ( remember that it will be an estimate, so this number will fluctuate as AI continues to improve )

4) The second step of this would be to teach people new skills or help them hone their existing ones to fit the needs of their industry in 5-10 years.

This would be like a two-in-one platform, where it will break the bad news but still help you overcome it and prepare you for the future.

An example of this can be a banker.

In the future, AI will be able to run macros, do calculations and prepare spreadsheets ( these are a few examples of daily tasks a banker is required to complete ).

However, AI might not be able to communicate with clients or understand the needs of a business. And this is where human skills come into play!
