Idea #2| Too Good to go: The Employee Version

What If: Too good to go but for employees!

The satirical version of this idea would allow Employers to offer their unwanted employees for other companies to hire!

It’s similar to the whole concept of “Too good to Go” . This app allows restaurants and food spots to offer remaining food for a lower price at the end of the day!

But how can this be realistically implemented?

Layoffs are a massive scare these days. Some industries have a higher risk of layoffs than others, like Tech for exmaple.

And on the employee version of the story, layoffs are hard to expect, because you never see them coming. It's rarely related to your performance but more to the financial situation of the company!

What if there was a talent pool only for laid-off employees?

The employers would directly manage this talent pool to ensure the quality and accuracy of the information in it.

Interested employers can sign up for this tool, which would allow them to add or interview talent on this platform.

The process would look like this:

1) Companies would add all the laid-off employees to the talent pool

2) The talent pool could be exclusively accessed by the companies that are looking for talent and or laying off talent

3) The interview process can be shorter because the information would be coming directly from the former employer, not from the employees themselves

4) A percentage of the money used to run the platform can be used to offer training to the talent in the pool to make sure their skills stay sharp!

I see this tackling two main problems: the quality of talent when receiving job applications and the Unemployment rate increasing because of mass layoffs.
